Aneta Slavova is an architect, an explorer and a lecturer, based in Sofia. She has a Master's, 1980 at the University for Architecture, Construction and Geodesy, and a Doctor’s in Architecture at the University for Architecture, Construction and Geodesy, 2016, Sofia. Her professional advancement is actively connected with architectural designing, and realisation of buildings and housing estates as an author and a leader of a team. She teaches her students this experience. Her over-twenty-year work in the academic circle contributes to the sharing of the rich professional skills with the students.
 

• From 1994 to 2019, she was a regular assistant of architectural design at the University for Architecture, Construction and Geodesy, the Department of Architecture, Sofia. Since 2016, she has been a Doctor with a interdisciplinary doctorate thesis in the process of architectural design, between two faculties of the University for Architecture, Construction and Geodesy at the Department of Architecture - the chair of Public buildings of UACG, and Organisation of construction of the Construction department at UACG, Sofia.
   

• From 1989 to 2001, she participated in “Design Studio” - FAEUS - the first of its kind experimental studio for teaching architectural design as a new approach, founded by Prof. Dr. Arch. Stefan Popov. In it a fundamental was the successful Method for Architectural Design of Prof. Popov, as a new approach for teaching architecture in our country.
   

• In the period of 2015 - 2018, she organised IS/UW - Interdisciplinary Student/Undergraduate Workshop for students from different universities for Architecture, Indeneering, Art, Sociology, Urban Design, Management, and etc., with the aim of working in interdisciplinary teams on real architectural problems of the capital city. This way new practices are experimented on in our country in education of Architecture, and a dialog with the business and experts in the field. 
   

• Since 2019 she has been a lecturer at various Institutions of Higher Education, Sofia, where she conducts exercises in architectural design of buildings, urban planning; she also conducts lecture courses in Public buildings, Present-day tendencies in architecture and History of contemporary architecture. The architect conducts pre-graduation and graduation works, based on experimental design and the Method of architectural design.  
   

• Since 2020 Arch. Slavova is a part-time lecturer in architectural design at “New Bulgarian University”, Sofia. She also conducts a lecture course in Public buildings at the university. 
   

•  In 2020 Arch. Aneta Slavova founded the innovative school for masterly architectural design “Archplay Academy”, for the first time in Bulgaria. The design course is during the summer, for two weeks, similarly to “Design Studio” with students from different courses and universities in Bulgaria. The teaching is innovative and is based on Prof. Stefan Popov’s method with the purpose of acquiring professional skills, upgrading the modern philosophy for occupancy of a particular environment and creating communities. Proved experts, architectural mentors also lecture in online lectures. The course will take place this year as well, for the third time.
   

• In 2021, Arch. Aneta Slavova published a book, monograph, “The Alternative Strategy for Architectural Design, “Design Studio” FAEUS”, which is a  result of scientific explorations and researches, based on the conducted educational experiment, “Design Studio FAEUS”, where she has worked for more than 10 years.
   

• Arch. Slavova has been even a manager of the “Integra Consult Proect” Ltd. company for architectural design and consulting from 2004 to now. She has had professional experience for more than four decades. She has earned distinctions and prizes in Bulgarian exhibitions and in architectural competitions in a team - a first-place prize for Metrolo-gical centre in Sofia, a second-place prize for Air traffic control, Sofia, nominations for exhibitions of Biennales and Trennales of the International Academy for Architecture, which she manages, with headquarters in UN, a prize for a Graduational work in 2022.   
   

• Her explorative interests come from purposeful, equidistant positions between the architectural theory and practice, and are focused on the methodologies for designing, as well as on the searching for new connections with other disciplines in fields of the art, research and architectural practices. The explorative work is published in specialised magazines. Arch. Slavova’s work, in the recent years, has been concentrated on search for innovative methods for teaching, the Architectural pedagogy and the close connection between practice, community and business. Arch. Slavova is a member of the Union of Architects in Bulgaria and the Chamber of Architects in Bulgaria.
